Dr. Audrey Kalindi

Audrey Kalindi is a Lecturer and researcher in the Department of Department of Demography, Population Sciences, Monitoring and Evaluation at the University of Zambia, with over 15 years of experience in health research, monitoring and evaluation, and policy and programme development across Zambia, Australia, the United States, and Tanzania. She has been involved in coordinating the Saving Mothers Giving Life Project, a major maternal and newborn health initiative implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, CDC, and USAID. She holds a PhD in Demography from the Australian National University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Stellenbosch University, an MA in Population Studies and a BA in Demography and Economics from the University of Zambia, as well as a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation. Her research interests include maternal and reproductive health, population health inequalities, gender, HIV, child health, health systems, and demographic change. Her published research addresses maternal healthcare access and gender inequalities, reproductive-age morbidity, child health, and civil registration and mortality measurement. She has also contributed to policy development, community engagement, research capacity building, mentoring, and health programme strengthening.
