There has been a growing demand from the market for the University of Zambia to offer business courses. As a response to this, an Adhoc Committee was formed to spearhead the formation of the Graduate School of Business. The said Committee completed its work in April 2015 and recommended the launch of the Graduate School of Business. Thus, as part of the remodelling of Income Generation (RIG), the Graduate School of Business was launched by the then Minister of Higher Education Hon Michael Kaingu on 31st August 2015 at the Intercontinental Hotel.
