Dr Kabaso Mulenga

Dr. Kabaso Mulenga is a Zambian economist and academic with expertise in health economics, econometrics, and applied microeconomics. He currently serves as a Lecturer of Economics at the University of Zambia. Dr. Mulenga holds two PhDs in Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of Cape Town, along with specialized training in Health Economics and Econometrics through the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). He earned his Master of Science in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe (2016) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Zambia.

With over a decade of teaching, research, and consultancy experience, Dr. Mulenga has previously lectured at Copperbelt University, Mulungushi University, and the University of Lusaka. His applied research experience includes roles as a Research Assistant for UNDP-Zambia and an Economic Consultant for the Indaba Agricultural Policy Research Institute (IAPRI). His published work and conference presentations focus primarily on health care financing, health insurance coverage, economic diversification, and socioeconomic inequalities in Zambia.
